Hongwanji- After ten-years of research and review by the Hongwanji English translation committee, the English translation of The Larger Sutra was recently published by Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha.  This publication is the second volume of The Three Pure Land Sutras collection.  The first volume, The Amida Sutra and The Contemplation Sutra, was published in 2003.  Along with the complete English translation of the sutra, the book contains detailed translations of Shinran Shonin’s interpretation of the Larger Sutra.
