Hong Kong – A special service recognizing the succession of Rev. Jo Kaku (Ho Sai Yiu) as the second Dharmagarjita Pure Land Recitation Association Representative was conducted at the Association’s main hall on March 8.  More than sixty members from Japan and China gathered.  Jo Kaku succeeds Rev. Miao Ci, who passed away last July.  Hongwanji Governor Rev. Sonoki participated and Rev. Chen Hsin of the Hongwanji-ha Taiwan office officiated the service.  The Dharmagarjita Pure Land Recitation Association, which now has 126 members, was established in February 2000.
