Tsukiji Betsuin, Tokyo- The 750th Memorial of Shinran Shonin proclamation service in Tokyo was conducted October 2 – 4 at Tsukiji Betsuin.  Jodo Shinshu members from the Tohoku, Tokyo, Nagano, and Niigata districts participated in the service.
Concerts by well-known Enka (traditional Japanese music) singer Sachiko Kobayashi and J-pop vocalist Junichi Inagaki as well as a lecture presented by actor Yukio Hashi were among the many events that were open to the public inviting newcomers to the temple.
